Byturus ochraceus is a species that belongs to the genus Byturus and is morphologically similar to other members of the genus. It measures around 4.0-4.6 mm in length and has a yellow-brown color with yellow hairs on its body. The adults are active from May to July and are associated with a variety of host plants including Taraxacum officinale, Salix, Caltha palustris, and many others.
