Stenurella melanura is a beetle found in Europe and parts of Asia, living in forests and mountain areas. It is small, measuring 6-10 millimeters, with a black head, pronotum, and abdomen. Males have yellow-brown elytra with a black tip, while females have reddish elytra. These beetles feed on pollen and nectar, with larvae developing in decaying wood. They can be seen from May to September and have a two-year life cycle.
