Harvestmen, also known as Opiliones, have long legs relative to their body size, with some species having short legs. They have two body parts, the cephalothorax and the abdomen, and lack venom glands, making them harmless to humans. Harvestmen do not build webs as they lack silk glands, and they can swallow solid food chunks. They have unique eyes, with some species having vestigial eyes, and they breathe through tracheae. Harvestmen reproduce sexually, with males guarding eggs and some species exhibiting parental care.
